Texture
The way a surface or material feels when you touch it (the characteristic visual and tactile quality of the surface of a work of art resulting from the way in which the materials are used. The imitation of the tactile quality of represented objects.)The way that a particular type of food feels in your mouth. The way the different parts of a piece of writing, music, art etc are combined in order to produce a final effect.
I choose “texture” to represent my work because I used different materials in my work which have different visual effects and touch feeling, allowed people to use these senses.
antonyms: flat/image/2D/disarrangement/inner/context
synonyms: balance, sense, fabric, nature, taste, pattern, character, surface, smoothness, consistency, touch, feeling, quality, composition, structure, being, essence, flexibility, fineness
I choose “inner” , because it allows me to notice the objects which have the original surface, but different inside. It means that with time passing, the appearance of object has’t changed, but it changed a lot in fact.
” flexibility” reminds me that artwork is not necessarily a fixed form, it can be changeable or dynamic.
Function
1. The kind of action or activity proper to a person, thing, or institution; the purpose for which something is designed or exists; role.
2. any ceremonious public or social gathering or occasion.
3. a factor related to or dependent upon other factors.
“function” in my works, means that the work has it audience, and I hope it can be useful for people, not just a normal art work in my life.
antonyms: entertainment/fun/enjoyable/useless/break down
synonyms: purpose/practical/responsibility/service
“entertainment” reminds me to pay attention to the balance between functionality and entertainment, if a piece of design project only for people to use it, it often makes people feel that it is boring.

“symbol” allows me to consider the meaning of “salt” in my future work, like why ” salt” can be symbolic to other people?
