「Salt experiment」salt water conductivity

When I think about the functionality of salt, the effects of salt water are also mentioned several times. Salt water also shows its usefulness in different fields. The saline conductive experiment was first reflected in my mind.

I searched a lot of videos about how to do saline conductivity from Youtube, which found that many bloggers placed magnets in salt water and made LED lights glow by connecting nails, wire, and blades. So I tried this method first.

I failed in my experiment. The reason I analyzed could be:

1. LED bulb wattage is too large, but the current is too small

2. Magnets don’t react in salt water.

So I went back to starting point and re-made the saline conductive experiment.



I did it. When the metal sheet was placed in the water the small light bulb would not shine, but in the brine, it lit up.

At the same time, the color of the salt water gradually changes during the light of the small bulb. when the conductive process lasts longer, the color will be darker, and the salt crystals appear at the bottom of the cup.



When I placed the salt water after the experiment a few days later.

Salt crystals spread in the bottom, the inside, the outside of paper cups. The color of the salt crystal has changed.
