In the previous experiment, I tried different engraving methods to change the shape of the salt block. But if it is only limited to the development of salt itself, it will reduce the possibility of salt. So I hope to find more interesting salt phenomena, texture (more aesthetic possibilities) through the combination of salt and different materials.
In the last two weeks, Shane Waltener organized a workshop in a park in Canada water. The purpose of the workshop is to allow us to find some connections between the natural environment and our own projects, so as to promote thinking and enhance the development of the works. So I took some photos at that park.
Due to the weather, the wooden head is a carrier, and ice and moss are attached to it from the inside to the outside, and they also become the outer coat of the wood branches. This symbiotic relationship reminds me of whether salt can also rely on the growth of wood, resulting in a new texture. So I started to try and record. Soak the wood in saltwater. After about three days, different salt crystals begin to appear on the surface of the wood. These crystals coexist with wood.
